Look no further for that quiet and serene mountain experience! This unique cabin sits on 1.5 acres with all the amenities. Built almost 40 years ago, this beautiful cabin has been lovingly refurbished with up-to-date furnishings and decor. All three bedrooms have sinks in the room; a wonderful family room upstairs offers a flat screen HD TV with satellite as well as an extensive DVD movie collection. One upstairs bedroom has a sleeping loft which would be a fun sleeping area for a couple of children (not recommended for toddlers). The Master Bedroom downstairs has its own bathroom and flat screen HD TV. Central heat and air conditioning are a big plus! Large front & back decks, complete with a gas BBQ provide beautiful views of the forest and sunsets. Plenty of parking and room for a boat.. (Cleaning Fee: $100)

This cabin was a labor of love beginning with a dream of the family patriarch: Richard Barham. Mr. Barnham searched for years for the perfect piece of property to build his mountain oasis and chose this location because it is so close to charming downtown Twain Harte and just below the snow line. It was built by the Barham family over five years and thousands of hours. Mr. Barnham went to the railyards to pick up pallets that he used for the wood on the walls. He split the wood pieces, routed each edge, and then put dowel holes in each. If you look closely at the walls, you will see that many of the pieces match exactly! Constructing these was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. All the light fixtures and wrought iron work were also designed and built by Richard Barham to make this home a true "jewel in the mountains".

  We loved our stay and had an amazing time, the place is awesome for kids because it has a big deck and flat front yard with a private dead-end street for the kids to play. Being in construction I really admired all the had craftmanship that was put into this place, it was a very relaxing and fun stay for us.

  ****'s Dream was the perfect place for our summer escape. We were looking for a quiet place that felt secluded and homey, was around lots of trees, and was close to lots of lakes and hiking. This fit the bill perfectly. It's a real vacation cabin, which to me means, nothing new, fancy or shiny, but rather well-loved wood, lots of history and some fun kitsch. It was very clean and everything worked well (washer, dryer etc.) We appreciated the pass to the private local lake which was a fun easy place to go swim to the dock and throw a football around. The house itself had puzzles, games, enough outdoor seating for everyone and a great grill which all made for a perfect escape. We can't wait to come back next year.

  This property is in a great location (very quiet) and the cabin was beautiful. We loved the large deck area. My complaints would be the showerheads were so low we had to bend down to get our heads under the water and some of the utensils needed updating in the kitchen because they were rusting and unusable. I would consider staying here again but I didn't like the $100 cleaning fee.
