Things To Do In And Around the Twain Harte Area

The Twain Harte area is a year-round recreation destination with an unlimited supply of fun. Fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, water-skiing, fine dining, golfing, concerts, shopping, professional theatre, white-water rafting, snow skiing and snowplay are just a few of the activities and attractions in the Central Sierra.

Twain Harte’s Eproson Park offers a fabulous playground for the little ones, barbecues, a baseball field and an outdoor stage where you can enjoy live free concerts in the Summer.  Our picturesque Executive Golf Course is nestled among the pines and open to the public.  The ever-popular Twain Harte Lake is staffed with lifeguards from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is available with select cabin rentals.  The quaint “downtown” Twain Harte area offers many fine restaurants, a mini golf course (Summer only), public pool, and shopping opportunities.  Bicycle rentals are available when weather permits.

Nearby Cover’s Apple Ranch and Sierra Glen Apple Ranch offer year-round country experiences with apple and berry-picking, home baked goodies and hayrides.

Some of the special events that occur in and around Twain Harte are the one-of-a-kind Winter Wonderland Parade and Tree Lighting the first Friday evening in December where you can join in the small-town spirit of the holidays.  (No Grinches in Twain Harte!)  Twain Harte a la Carte is held in the heart of town on the third Saturday in May and features food and wine tastings from local restaurants and vintners.  A great way to kick off Summer.  The Annual Arts & Wine Festival (usually the last weekend in July) is a very popular event and draws visitors from throughout California for a weekend of shopping and wine tasting.  You can bring the kids and enjoy Movies in the Pines (free outdoor movies at the Eproson Park stage) on Friday evenings at dusk (from late June to late August) and, of course, bring your picnic and dance the night away at live, free Concerts in the Pines on the Rotary Stage at Eproson Park on Saturday nights from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
