  Actually, the cabin's general condition was OK and clean, but there were/are bed bugs in the downstairs bedroom. I got multiple bites. When I advised the manager, his immediate and only response was 'there have never been bed bugs in my cabin'. There are bed bugs! He was unconcerned about my experience or that of future renters.

  The cabin had many comfortable beds and was well stocked. It had a nice deck with 2 tables and a zero gravity chair. The management company responded very promptly to my one question (even on a Saturday). It was in a nice location close to town.

  It was a great cabin, lots of bedrooms and close to town. What I didn’t enjoy was being told that I’d have to rent sheets and towels and replace all paper products in the cabin as well as cleaning supplies. Not sure if this was Covid related or not. In all my families forty plus years of renting cabins in this area, we never had this happen. For as much as we paid per night, these things should have been included.

  I can’t begin to describe how horrible our experience was with Twain Harte Vacation Rentals. Our family has been vacationing and renting in Twain Harte for 30 years and have never had such a horrible experience as with Margie. From the beginning there were difficulties in communicating, she does not respond to calls or emails promptly . We decided to go forth with the rental because of limitations with timing and Covid, and we liked the location. After we arrived, we had issues with the cabin and attempted to call repeatedly but never had a return to our calls, even on the emergency number. Power was out and we were concerned but no response. There were issues with the house and we attempted to report them as per the rental contract but no response. When we returned home our rental deposit was not fully returned, and I attempted to contact them but calls and emails were not returned. I was overcharged for linens, charged for “extra cleaning” and charged for a broken microwave plate that I reported was broken on arrival. She essentially called me a liar, despite proof I provided. Do NOT use this company. Not worth any benefits the cabin has

  We had a delightful stay.
  There were a few discrepancies for your attention and a few photos:
  The deck was a mess when we arrived - did not make for a good first impression- looked like it had been a long time since it was swept; the BBQ is a hazard - our take on it needs a new regulator ( with two large tri tips on the BBQ it suddenly burst into flames and we almost lost our meat and a safety hazard); the screen doorgoing into the kitchen had a 3 corner tear; the downstairs bath toilet paper holder was broken:and the Clip that holds the shower door closed down stairs is tentative. The living room furniture has seen its day.
  We did have a good time. Location was good.

  We enjoyed our stay in Twain Harte but unfortunately were not able to stay at the house that we originally rented. The cabin was nice and had some great entertainment for kids but was too small for us - the four bedroom would have been perfect. But, we made it work! We had also hoped to be walking distance to the town (but being close to the lake was a nice perk!)

  Had a great time. All the kids are raised and have lives of their own, but someway each year we find the time to go to Twain Harte on a family get together. And it just gets better. Loved the layout of the cabin. My one complaint is the kitchen is way too small to move around. Especially when so many people are putting meals together. That being my only issue, the cabin was the perfect place for a large family to get together. Working on the dates right now for next year. Thank you ~

  11 people of 3 families stayed at this house for 2 nights on Memorial weekend. Access and check-out were very simple. (By using the lockbox). Booking and returning the full security deposit also no hassel. The manager Margie is very helpful. There are one bdrm at 1st floor w/ a rollaway bed in its closet. One full bath next to it. There 3 bdrm upstairs. One is master bdrm w/ a kingsize. Second is a huge bdrm w/ a fullsize, a bunkbed (2 story twin size) and 2 rollaway beds in its closet. Third one is a small bdrm with a bunkbed which has a full size and a twin. Water pressure was super. Full kitchen has almost everything. TV is working so were the DVD. CD play was not functional. Wifi is strong. However when enter the passcode it jumped to Comcast sign page, where we could not figure out whatsNext. So we give up the Wifi. The 4G was strong anyway. The deck looks brandnew w/ BBQ. The is a firepit in the large woody front yard,where group of deers stroll by. It was a pleasant stay. Thank you Margie!

  Great rental and it worked really well for the family - and all 6 kids. The lake was a blast and everyone enjoed the waterslides. My only complaint is that it was difficult to leave on Sunday as the move out instructions required everything to be put back in their original place. I suggest a simple modification to dishes in the dishwasher and towels in the dryer - would have made it a lot easier and less stressful to depart.
